2020 Dr. Gadi Psychiatric Clinic
We offer solutions to family, marital,
occupational and personal anxieties
IMPORTANT: We only accept patients 15 years old and
above, children 14 years old and below must see a child
psychiatrist. Patients who also have a history of heart
disease, diabetes or cancer are required to see psychiatrists
residing in hospitals instead, such as the St. Luke’s Medical
Center, because of complications with taking psychiatric
drugs such as antidepressants. A team of medical doctors
in different fields is required for such patients.
Anyone needing help on family, marital, adolescent (15
years old and above), occupational or personal
problems are welcome in our psychiatric clinic. Our
main goal is through counseling, by establishing
rapport, identifying the main cause of the problem and
a basic understanding of the client's personal and family
history we can assist in the immediate resolution of the
client's problems, through positive guidance without
damaging the person's ego and self-worth.
Additionally, in cases where the problems become long-
term, we can prescribe drugs that alleviate the
symptoms of depression, anxiety or even sleep
disturbance. Presciption drugs are only used when there
is severe bodily ailment; when the symptoms gradually
disappear, the taking of drugs are discontinued and the
patient resumes normal living.
In psychotherapy, there are several approaches in aiding
the client's resolution of his or her problems. Our
technique uses the eclectic approach which is a
combination of all major psychotherapy approaches.
The first example of these approaches is the
psychoanalytic approach popularized by Sigmund
Freud. Here, we determine the client's family history if
there are past, unresolved problems that somehow
manifests itself in the unconscious mind that currently
causes anxiety and/or depression. Another problem
source is loss of self-worth and ego breakdown because
of poor family and peer group relationships. Marital
problems can also be affected by psycho-analytic
methods should there are unclear gender roles, lack of
emotional and affection needs or setting unrealistic
standards to a partner.
